sapphires, second in toughness only to diamonds

In: Fashion

Some things are just meant to go together. Diamonds and sapphires are no exception. With so many decisions, a diamond and sapphire engagement and ring set can go down in your private history. Little need for the blues, with sapphires you can branch out into a spread of tunes. While sapphires are customarily related to the deep blue only a sapphire can exude, sapphires cover a giant portion of the rainbow from purples to reds to oranges and yellows. On the sunny side, if the price of a coloured diamond is too much to think about ( at least for now–always keep your options open ), consider a coloured sapphire instead. The big attraction might be the yellow or pink sapphire, supported by a brilliant chorus of smaller diamonds, and nobody would know the difference unless you selected to bare your brilliant secret! There are other sapphires also that are seen in variation of orangish pink or pinkish orange. These stones are called padparadscha. It translates to mean the Lotus blossom. An interesting variety among sapphires is the color change sapphires. The pink variety in this looks pink in daylight and appears green while examined in fluorescent light. The source of color in a sapphire depends on the light it reflects. The more clear the stone the costlier it is. The cuts in light sapphires like the pink sapphire is very important as the slightest of incision should reflect just the right amount of light.

Sapphires are pretty study rocks, too–only 2nd in toughness to diamonds, which implies you can mix ‘em up as much as you would like and be assured that your ring will last for many years to come, just like your fave classic tune that never goes out of favor. Need another reason to think about the diamond / sapphire duet? The rocks are beautiful and can be put in any sort of setting you like and still look good.
